Upcoming Film Project - November 2-3, 2021

The INVEST Cambridge team is pleased to inform you of an upcoming film project, and celebrate our first hat trick! Culprits will be filming scenes in all three Cambridge core areas on November 2 and 3, 2021.  It is a dark and funny miniseries set in the aftermath of a heist, and follows the crew who have gone their separate ways, but are being targeted by a killer.  While the production will be in multiple areas over the course of their two days in Cambridge, Preston will be the hero location for this project.

Anticipated Impacts:


  • Filming November 2, 2021 from approximately 9am to 1pm
  • Film location will be the  exterior northeast side of City Hall
  • No impact on roadways, however there will be an impact of approximately 35 spaces within the City Hall lot
  • Production has requested access to the staff entrance on the east side of city hall be limited during takes


  • Filming November 2, 2021
  • Brief (approximately 1 hour) closures on Queen St East between Adam and Tannery Streets to be supervised by paid duty officers from WRPS
  • One closure to occur in the morning and one in the evening
  • This will be facilitated by a “splinter unit” which is much smaller than a regular sized crew


  • 2 days of filming (November 2 & 3) in the vicinity of 634 King Street East (Bizikleta Sales and Service)
  • Intermittent stoppages have been approved on King Street between Argyle St N and Westminister Drive outside of rush hours
  • Majority of filming will be interior with some impact on sidewalks



  • 35 spaces within the City Hall parking lot
  • 40 spaces in the north of the Wellington Lot
  • 20 spaces in the north of the Water St Lot #1
  • 4 spaces on Cambridge Street


  • On street spaces (as needed) on Queen St between Adam and Tannery Streets
  • Private parking areas as needed
  • Staff have requested patrons be permitted to utilize on street spaces as needed outside of filming


  • Basecamp facilities will be located off Rogers Drive, within Riverside Park
  • Private facilities will be utilized for crew parking (St Clement’s)
  • Limited on street parking has been granted within the area of filming
  • 4 spaces have been granted in the Argyle St lot
  • 30 spaces have been granted in the Westminister Lot

The Cambridge Poppy Project will also be setting up displays throughout the city this weekend, with many in areas adjacent to where filming is occuring.
