Ontario Parks Association relocates head office to Cambridge’s downtown Galt core

Posted on Wednesday April 17, 2019

Yesterday evening, Cambridge Council approved a five year lease and capital facilities agreement with Ontario Parks Association (OPA) to relocate their head office in downtown Cambridge.

The new Ontario Parks Association head office will be relocated at 60 Water Street. This is an ideal location for the OPA, as the heritage property is located on the Grand River along the picturesque Living Levee Trail.  The relocation to the Galt core area will raise the profile of the City by becoming the home of a leading conservation association in the province.

The OPA was founded in 1936 and is committed to civic beautification and the protection of parks, open space and the natural environment.  They represent 444 municipalities and members throughout the province providing accessible education and professional development, networking, information, communication, and advocacy to persons participating in parks services.

The City is pleased to welcome the OPA to their new location this summer.
