Upcoming Film Project - Monday, May 6, 2019

The City of Cambridge is pleased to be welcoming the cast and crew from “Rocket Woman” back to film scenes for their upcoming season finale!  "Rocket Woman" tells the fictional story of a totalitarian society that exists in what used to be the United States, and is based on the best-selling novel by Margaret Atwood.  Cast and crew will be filming scenes on both public and private property classes within the Galt core area on Monday, May 6, 2019.  Set dressing will begin on Sunday, May 5.

Anticipated Impacts:

  • Intermittent stoppages on Dickson Street between Wellington and Ainslie Streets (morning)
  • Full closure of Water St N between Dickson and Warnock Streets (10:00am through 2:30pm only)
  • Closure of Main Street from Ainslie Street, up to and including the Main Street bridge (8:00am through 10:00pm)

Special Advisories:

  • Drone useage during the road closure at Main and Water Streets
  • Replica weapons
  • Actors on rooftops (with replica weapons) within the Main/Water intersection


Limited parking has been approved to facilitate this project, to ensure the public is able to enjoy the Galt core area.

  • On street Dickson between Ainslie and Wellington Streets (morning only)
  • On street Water between Dickson and Imperial Lane (during road closure only)
  • On street Main between Ainslie and Water (during road closure only)
  • On street Melville between Blair Rd and River St
  • Water St Lot #1 (20 spaces)
  • Beverly St Lot (10 spaces)
  • Churchill Park (lot off of Water Street North)
  • Duncan McIntosh Arena (portion of lot off of Churchill Drive)
