Upcoming Film Project - April 26-29 (Various locations)

INVEST Cambridge is excited to welcome back to our community the cast and crew of “Ruby Road” to film scenes for the upcoming season.  Filming will take place April 26 and 27-29 and involve some highly visible graphic content which may be disturbing. Community members are advised to avoid the filming locations.

April 26

Affected Locations:

  • Mill Race Park/Living Levee Trail (from 7am until 3pm)
  • Brant Road North (from 2pm until 11pm)

Anticipated Impacts:

  • Intermittent Traffic Control on Parkhill Road Bridge (outside of rush hours)
  • Intermittent Traffic Control on Brant Road N

Special Advisories:

  • Residential Filming
  • Simulated violence and horror elements
  • Replica weapons

Parking:

  • Crew parking will be located on private property
  • Basecamp will be located in the Water Street side of Churchill Park. This lot will be closed to the public during this time, and park access/parking will be available via Christopher Drive.
  • 40 spaces in Water St Lot #1 (north end)
  • On-street parking on Water St N, Brant Rd N and Wentworth Ave

April 27-29

Affected Locations:

  • 171 Guelph Avenue (interior and exterior filming). All filming will be taking place on private property from approximately 7am until 11pm daily.

Anticipated Impacts:

  • Intermittent Traffic Control on Guelph Avenue between Sheffield St and Fisher Mills Road

Special Advisories:

  • Residential Filming

Parking:

  • Our wonderful friends at Hespeler Arena will be hosting basecamp
  • Crew parking will be located on private property
  • Tech parking will be located on Shaw Avenue East and Henry Villa Drive

There will be no impact on surrounding businesses and we are grateful for the tremendous support the film industry receives from our local businesses, community members, and visitors. Please continue to shop local and support our small businesses.
