Upcoming Film Project - September 18, 2019

The City of Cambridge is pleased to be welcoming the cast and crew from "Christmas Duets" to film scenes for an upcoming project.  The majority of this project will be taking place on the lower block of Main Street/Main Street bridge on the above noted date, beginning at 5:00pm.

Anticipated Impacts:

  • Intermittent traffic stoppages may occur on Water Street North/Main Street in the vicinity of the Main Street bridge.
  • Stoppages are ONLY permitted outside of rush hours (Rush hours are identified as the hours between 7:00-9:00 am and 4:00-6:00 pm). 
  • Stoppages will be limited to no more than 3 minutes per incident.
  • Paid Duty Officers from Waterloo Region Police Services will be onsite to ensure public safety.

Special Advisories:

  • As this is a Christmas movie, we would like to ensure citizens are aware that there may be some Christmas decorations installed on the lower block of Main Street, and said decorations will be removed following the shoot.
  • This shoot will involve some overnight filming.

Parking:

  • On street parking has been approved for Main Street between Queens Square and Ainslie Street North, reservation of said spaces is not to occur prior to 3:00pm.
  • Base camp needs will be met in private lots.
